Choose a Reims district and a real visit

The northern group links Mumm on rue du Champ de Mars with boulevard Lundy, rue Coquebert and place de la République. Thiénot’s rue du Marc reception sits in the central city; Lanson is west at rue de Courlancy. Saint-Remi and Saint-Nicaise form the southern cellar district. The cards give the booked entrance, not a vineyard or historic headquarters elsewhere in Champagne.

Canard-Duchêne is at Ludes, so it belongs in the Montagne de Reims guide, not this city-address list. For a route beyond Reims, compare the Épernay houses and the two-town comparison. Paris arrivals should distinguish central Reims station from Champagne-Ardenne TGV at Bezannes.

Charles de Cazanove

At 8 place de la République, Charles de Cazanove is a showroom-tasting address close to Reims Centre and Boulingrin. Its current reservation route is the Rue des Vignerons module embedded on the house website. A routine public cellar tour has not been established, so choose this stop for the booked tasting format.

The published range includes Blanc de Blancs, Brut Nature, Brut Rosé, Premier Cru, Millésime 2016 and Stradivarius 2009. Those bottle names identify the catalogue, not an assumed pour list. Ask for the current tasting selection and tariff when reserving; no fixed starting price or duration is published here without a matching product.

Book through the official showroom calendar; direct tasting enquiries also use +33 3 26 88 53 86. Official visit information.

From Reims cathedral: approximately 17 minutes on foot (1.2 km). October 2026 pedestrian-route estimate, excluding stops and private grounds. Walking directions

G.H. Mumm

Mumm’s cellar reception is at 34 rue du Champ de Mars. The 90-minute Cordon Rouge Experience starts at €30 and includes Cordon Rouge; Pinot Noir Celebration is €42 for the same duration with Cordon Rouge and Rosé (checked October 2026). The Vintage Grand Cru Experience is a separate €60 comparison of RSRV Blanc de Blancs and Blanc de Noirs (checked October 2026).

Almost 25 km of passages belong to the house’s underground network; a visitor ticket follows its own selected route. French, English, Italian and Spanish booking links appear on the official page. Reduced-mobility arrangements are limited to the first cellar level and must be discussed with the team before arrival.

Select the named experience, language and departure in Mumm’s official booking system. Official visit information.

From Reims cathedral: approximately 21 minutes on foot (1.5 km). October 2026 pedestrian-route estimate, excluding stops and private grounds. Walking directions

Krug

Krug’s 5 rue Coquebert address is an exterior stop: its official contact page states that the house is not open to the general public. No public ticket, price or cellar duration belongs beside this entry. Mumm, Cazanove and Thiénot provide separate bookable alternatives in the northern and central parts of Reims.

To explore the wine instead, Krug Grande Cuvée carries a bottle-specific Krug iD that opens information about that edition. Les Caves du Forum at 10 rue Courmeaux lists Krug wines in its own catalogue, including Grande Cuvée and vintage releases. Ask the shop about a particular bottle and availability.

Use Krug’s official contact page for house information; the street frontage does not require a tour reservation. Official visit information.

Hôtel Roederer on boulevard Lundy in Reims

Louis Roederer

Louis Roederer’s registered address is 21 boulevard Lundy. The house’s reviewed official site did not establish a current public cellar-tour product or a general visitor policy, so treat the building as a street-view stop and make any estate enquiry directly. A catalogue bottle price is not a tour tariff.

Brasserie du Boulingrin at 31 rue de Mars provides a separate way to encounter the wines: its published list names Louis Roederer, including Vintage and Cristal bottles. Book the table and request the exact wine with the restaurant. The list establishes a named stockist, not permanent availability of every vintage.

Contact Louis Roederer directly about any proposed visit; choose another house’s confirmed public programme for the day’s cellar booking. Official visit information.

Thiénot

Thiénot’s Le N°3 is at 3 rue du Marc, a central reception distinct from the production headquarters on rue des Moissons. The ground-floor discovery route is free; its relief map, vine model and wine tools introduce Champagne before a paid underground appointment. The cellar route includes a thirteenth-century cellar and almost 1 km of galleries.

Origine Collection lasts 105 minutes and starts at €45 for two Origine cuvées. Family Collection is two hours at €95, comparing Signature Brut with two selected family-vintage wines (checked October 2026). French and English sessions are listed for these products. The rooftop bar and cellar visit are separate parts of the restored complex.

Reserve the named cellar experience through Thiénot’s official visitor pages; contact the team ahead of arrival about reduced-mobility access. Official visit information.

Lanson

Lanson receives visitors at 66 rue de Courlancy, west of the Saint-Nicaise group. Its guided route links the house, secret garden, winery and cellars. Original Creation lasts 90 minutes and starts at €32 with Le Black Création; Emblematic Creation adds Le Rosé Création at €40 (checked October 2026).

The Signature is a two-hour, three-wine visit from €55, while The Vintage is two hours from €85 (checked October 2026). Standard tours are offered in French and English for groups of 1–18. Shop visits and tastings are separately possible without a cellar reservation; private and Collection experiences use the VIP contact.

G.H. Martel & Co

At 17 rue des Créneaux, G.H. Martel places its museum-cellar reception 100 m from Saint-Remi Basilica. Prestige is a 75-minute cellar visit with white and rosé non-vintage wines, from €30. Victoire uses the same duration with a non-vintage and a vintage, from €40 (checked October 2026).

Tasting-only Prestige and Victoire cost €25 and €35 respectively (checked October 2026); no duration is supplied here for those different products. French and English appear in the booking catalogue. The cellar museum belongs to the Saint-Remi quarter, not the northern Mumm and Boulingrin circuit.

Use the official Rue des Vignerons booking module or boutique@champagnemartel.com; the published telephone is +33 3 26 82 70 67. Official visit information.

Crayère number 9 at Charles Heidsieck in Reims

Charles Heidsieck

Charles Heidsieck is an appointment enquiry, not a walk-up public calendar. The Comité Champagne lists cellar visits and tastings at rue de la Procession, Reims, with French expressly identified. Contact charles@charlesheidsieck.com or +33 3 26 84 43 00 for the available arrangement, price and language.

The house’s crayères belong to an 8 km network approximately 30 m underground and form part of Champagne’s recognised cellar landscape. Blanc des Millénaires is its prestige Chardonnay line; the first release appeared in 1993 with the 1983 vintage. These production and wine facts explain the house’s appeal without inventing a fixed visitor ticket.

Arrange the appointment directly with the house before adding rue de la Procession to the itinerary. Official visit information.

Ruinart

Ruinart’s pavilion at 4 rue des Crayères is the meeting place for the standard Visit of the Crayères. It lasts two hours and includes two signature cuvées, from €90 per adult (checked October 2026). The group is limited to twelve, with French and English sessions offered.

The Blanc Singulier-focused visit is also two hours but compares three Chardonnay wines: Blanc de Blancs, Blanc Singulier and Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs, from €110 (checked October 2026). The sculpture garden and pavilion’s surface facilities are distinct from an underground ticket. Ruinart’s different official pages give differing exact depths, so this directory does not assign one depth to every route.

Reserve the chosen experience and language on the house site; discuss a particular underground access requirement with its visitor team. Official visit information.

Pommery

Pommery is at 5 place du Général Gouraud, where contemporary art occupies a route through former chalk quarries below the turreted estate. The 45-minute Brut Royal visit is €30 self-guided or €36 guided, with Brut Royal at the tasting (checked October 2026). Its practical information gives a cellar temperature of 10°C.

The Henry Vasnier ticket combines Pommery’s cellars and Villa Demoiselle in two hours: €55 self-guided or €65 guided (checked October 2026). Each version names its own pair of wines. The official current notice says the Domaine remains open and sells tickets on arrival during technical difficulties with its usual online system.

Read Pommery’s live booking notice, then select the named route through the official system or the alternatives it lists. Official visit information.

Champagne Taittinger in Reims

Taittinger

Taittinger’s entrance is 9 place Saint-Nicaise. Its underground route combines Gallo-Roman crayères with remains of the medieval Abbey of Saint-Nicaise, around 18 m below the site. Instant Rosé lasts 70 minutes and compares Brut Réserve with Prestige Rosé, from €40 (checked October 2026).

Instant Comtes de Champagne is 105 minutes from €90; Instant Duo Comtes is 90 minutes from €100 (checked October 2026). The site also has a separately booked family format, Polychrome restaurant and Chromatique boutique. The official access information describes numerous stairs and approximately 12°C underground, so choose the actual route with the visitor team if steps are a concern.

Reserve the experience, language and departure through Taittinger’s official visitor calendar; the restaurant meal is a separate booking. Official visit information.

Veuve Clicquot buildings and entrance in Reims

Veuve Clicquot

Veuve Clicquot’s visit centre is at 1 rue Albert Thomas. The €36 entry named Brut Yellow Label, the birth of a style pairs a cellar introduction with Yellow Label over one hour. The one-hour rosé experience combines an olfactory workshop with two rosé wines, from €60 (checked October 2026).

Only One Quality, the Finest lasts 90 minutes and compares four 6 cl pours for €80; The Art of Aging is two hours with four named vintage or Cave Privée wines and cheese, from €160 (checked October 2026). Café Clicquot is a separate Champagne-and-food stop at the same address. The longer La Grande Dame vineyard programme has seasonal exclusions.

Use Veuve Clicquot’s own calendar for the exact programme and language; do not assume a vineyard format operates in November or December. Official visit information.

Turn a Reims shortlist into a day

Ruinart’s standard visit occupies two hours, while Taittinger’s Instant Rosé lasts 70 minutes and Pommery’s Brut Royal format 45 minutes. Book the actual house departure before adding the cathedral, lunch and a second cellar. The weekend itinerary uses named reservation targets and the Reims hub links the cultural stops.

For a non-cellar encounter, Cazanove offers showroom tasting, Thiénot has a free ground-floor discovery route, and Café Clicquot is a separate food-and-Champagne address. Krug’s public-visit restriction and Louis Roederer’s unverified public booking position remain explicit. Booking another house’s tour does not create access to either property.

Reims house visits: questions

Which Reims houses have a public cellar ticket?

Ruinart, Taittinger, Pommery, Veuve Clicquot, Mumm, Lanson, G.H. Martel and Thiénot have named bookable visitor products in this directory. Charles Heidsieck uses direct appointment enquiries; Cazanove’s reviewed offer is a showroom tasting.

What is a lower-priced named Reims visit?

The current regular Mumm Cordon Rouge Experience is 90 minutes from €30 and Pommery’s self-guided Brut Royal visit is 45 minutes from €30 (checked October 2026). Their different wines, durations and formats are described above; temporary festival prices are not regular tour tariffs.

Can I visit Krug or Louis Roederer?

Krug explicitly says it is not open to the general public. Louis Roederer’s current public tour product or general visitor policy was not established; contact the house directly. Both frontages can be viewed from public streets without claiming cellar admission.

What a Brit travelling here needs to know

  • Rail and flights: Eurostar links London St Pancras with Paris Gare du Nord; Reims and Épernay trains leave Paris Gare de l’Est. For a flight arrival, compare Paris Charles de Gaulle with your onward SNCF station and date in the transport guide.
  • Documents: for a British-citizen passport, GOV.UK specifies an issue date less than 10 years before arrival and expiry at least 3 months after leaving Schengen. Visa-free tourist visits are limited to 90 days in any 180. Read the current official entry requirements.
  • Money, language and clocks: France uses euros (€) and French; Champagne is 1 hour ahead of the UK. Select English explicitly on a house’s reservation page.
  • Local travel: Reims Centre and Champagne-Ardenne TGV are different stations. Épernay’s station serves the Avenue de Champagne; Hautvillers needs a road transfer. Use the car-free guide for named rail, taxi and tour options.

Entry details checked 23 October 2026. The official GOV.UK page covers other passport types and border procedures.
