Nicolas Feuillatte at Chouilly

Nicolas Feuillatte receives visitors at C.D. 40 A, Plumecoq, 51530 Chouilly. The current Épernay tourism listing marks the site PMR and lists a lift, private parking and visitor facilities. Contact service-visites@feuillatte.com or +33 3 26 59 64 61 for the route through the winery, riddling, disgorging and bottle-dressing areas.

The tourist office’s January 2024 accessibility catalogue gives more detail at Nicolas Feuillatte: a lift and escalator on the tour route, adapted toilets, wide doors and a floor-guidance strip. These are dated partner declarations from September 2023. Ask the visitor service which lift route accompanies your particular experience, especially if you use an electric wheelchair.

Épernay tourism lists Nicolas Feuillatte’s individual visits with one, two or three cuvées at €20, €25 or €30 respectively, checked October 2026. Its “En route!” product includes a private return vehicle from Épernay station, a visit and three cuvées. That product’s description does not identify a wheelchair-adapted vehicle: arrange the vehicle specification with the visitor service before choosing it.

De Sousa: French Sign Language by appointment

De Sousa is at 12 place Léon-Bourgeois, 51190 Avize. The estate’s own contact page explicitly offers visits and tastings by appointment in French, English and LSF, French Sign Language. Reserve through contact@champagnedesousa.com or +33 3 26 57 53 29. LSF is a different language from BSL; request the required communication format when making the appointment.

The De Sousa contact page publishes weekday reception at 08:00–12:00 and 14:00–17:00. A summer closure notice on that same page is explicitly dated 2024, so it is not used here as a 2026 calendar. The page does not supply a wheelchair route specification; ask De Sousa about the tasting entrance, any cellar steps and the toilet arrangement for your chosen visit.

Jean Milan in Oger

Champagne Jean Milan, 8 rue d’Avize, Oger, is listed by Épernay tourism with a PMR service and private parking. The individual three-cuvée tasting starts at €15, checked October 2026; visits are by appointment. Call +33 3 26 57 50 09 through the official tourism listing to describe your requirements.

Jean Milan’s dated access-catalogue entry identifies a ground-floor reception and alternative entrances to the tasting room, toilets and winery. Ask for those named entrances when reserving; an appointment involving the press room or cellars is a different route from sitting down for a tasting. The catalogue does not publish door widths or lift dimensions.

Vertus and the transfer between villages

Larmandier-Bernier receives visitors by appointment on weekday mornings at 19 avenue du Général-de-Gaulle, Vertus. The estate publishes champagne@larmandier.fr and +33 3 26 52 13 24. Its contact page identifies an electric-car charging point, but gives no equivalent wheelchair-access specification. Use the appointment request to ask about the entrance and the proposed tasting location.

A’Gil Taxi’s Épernay tourism listing includes PMR transport on +33 3 26 59 01 44. Name Chouilly, Avize, Oger or Vertus and the estate’s street address when requesting the vehicle; the Côte des Blancs is a series of villages, not one reception site. The Côte des Blancs guide links the six Grand Cru villages and individual producer pages.

Before you go

  • Save your booking confirmation and check its meeting point.
  • Carry the ID and travel documents required for your journey.
  • Wear comfortable shoes for town pavements and cellar floors.
  • Bring a layer for cooler underground spaces.
  • Arrange transport before tasting; never drink and drive.

What a Brit travelling here needs to know

  • Rail and flights: Eurostar links London St Pancras with Paris Gare du Nord; Reims and Épernay trains leave Paris Gare de l’Est. For a flight arrival, compare Paris Charles de Gaulle with your onward SNCF station and date in the transport guide.
  • Documents: for a British-citizen passport, GOV.UK specifies an issue date less than 10 years before arrival and expiry at least 3 months after leaving Schengen. Visa-free tourist visits are limited to 90 days in any 180. Read the current official entry requirements.
  • Money, language and clocks: France uses euros (€) and French; Champagne is 1 hour ahead of the UK. Select English explicitly on a house’s reservation page.
  • Local travel: Reims Centre and Champagne-Ardenne TGV are different stations. Épernay’s station serves the Avenue de Champagne; Hautvillers needs a road transfer. Use the car-free guide for named rail, taxi and tour options.

Entry details checked 23 October 2026. The official GOV.UK page covers other passport types and border procedures.
